Jeff and I flew to St. Louis, MO in early Feb. for Paul Beuselinck's retirement party. Jeff and Paul go way back to Fresno State, Oregon State, and then worked for the USDA ARS many years. We rented a car and drove to Columbia for the surprise party. Paul and Charlotte live in Ashland just outside of Columbia in an old house they have renovated. We got to stay in their B&B and were treated to fresh home "grown" eggs for breakfast. Jeff had been there a few times but this was my first. It was a delightful time to see Missouri and connect with old friends.
