Our Yard

Ok, I put the comments about the yard first and then forgot to add the pictures!

Jeff !

Yes! Jeff is alive and well!

So I tried to get a "natural" picture and it was quite comical! So here is our efforts! After a long day of work and long commute this is a great way to unwind! Enjoying the garden and birds! And, of course, visiting with his friend, Berry!

Our yard

It's been a lot of work but we are enjoying the fruits of our labors...well, Jeff's labor! I am the "go-fer" and the waterer! Jeff put in drip irrigation all through out so it's much easier now. This is just a bit of what we enjoy!

Our Bird Friends

Below you will see the source of our fun! We've always said we were very dull people! The challenge has been to find the right pole and placement so that the pesky but entertaining squirrels don't get all the bird seed! We love to sit out in our little patch of land in this world back east and watch the many kinds of birds. Our favorites are the cardinals. The bird songs back here are amazing!

New Title

I came up with the previous blog title on the spur of the moment. It was pointed out to me by a very dear friend that a grandpa was no where in sight! Not to leave Jeff out of this I decided to begin again!

Commissioning Week Blue Angels

On Wednesday, May 21, The Blue Angels performed over the Severn River and the Naval Academy as they traditionally do for Commissioning Week. Jeff took the afternoon off and we loaded up our lawn chairs and headed over to the Marine Corp Stadium. You can park there and ride a bus over to the yard or walk the mile walk over. Jeff and I chose to walk it...quite a work-out! People come from far and wide and it seemed like school was out for the occasion! Of course, you can spot the proud families with their ready to graduate mids. It's quite a festive atmosphere! Not even the clouds and the few sprinkles could dampen the spirits. Right on time "Fat Albert" which is a big cargo plane enters first and begins the show. When the rest of the jets make their entrance it's pretty amazing! And loud! It's worth the wait!

Jill and Mike's Birthday

On Jill's birthday we all got together to celebrate both b-days since Mike's is two weeks later. It was a fun time with lots of squealing because Uncle Mike is just so much fun! Catherine was there, too. We played Apples to Apples and had a great time!

I'm learning!

So on my last visit I walked in one day to find Anna and the gang...even Cambria taking a rest together. Is this the cutest picture or what?

Then...oh, sorry! I forgot to rotate the pictures...I'll do better next time! But we tried Josiah's wedding suit on Micah. And the two boys had to have their picture taken. Another time I walked in to find Micah on my suitcase and Josiah close by! Always it's Monkey See Monkey Do!

And what would life be without watching Daddy play Wii! Anna said, "Dan, you can put her in bed." Dan said, "But, I like to hold her!" Ahhhh!

Grandma's last visit

My First photo!

So I just grabbed what was on my desktop and who should it be but the darling Josiah!

Getting started!

Help! I need to figure out how to add pictures!
